Pallet Wood Coffee Table

As you may have already noticed, I like to help others build useful things out of wood. This is primarily why I jumped at the opportunity to help a few friends build a coffee table. I told them that if they brought the wood then I would help them build whatever they wanted. Little did I know, the only wood they would bring was a bunch of nail-embedded pallet wood...

Pallet projects are not the easiest builds since the wood is ALWAYS unpredictable and usually warped in multiple directions (not to mention the unbelievable amount of nails embedded into every square inch!) However, there is nothing more satisfying than when a pallet project actually works. There is a bigger sense of accomplishment when we can overcome all of the obstacles and make something beautiful out of something really, really ugly! 

We learned a lot and had a lot of fun, and I think this table will serve them for a long time!
